     • Both the 5K and half-marathon start at 9am. If you haven't already picked up your race bib and other materials on Friday afternoon from 3-6pm at the Recreation Center, you can do so between 7-8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. We emphatically recommend getting to the Recreation Area early. There is plenty of parking on site, but we anticipate a large crowd. Traffic will not be allowed into the Recreation Center after 8:30 a.m. Latecomers will be directed to alternate, nearby sites. It is far, far better if you arrive early!
Runners will be called to the starting line at 8:45 a.m. for a brief ceremony commemorating the anniversary of the 9/11 World Trade Center attack. Both races begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
Both the half marathon and the 5K will begin their races in the same direction this year. We've improved our 5K course from previous years. After leaving the Recreation Center all runners/walkers will head south on Route 30 (left), going toward town. Approximately one-half mile from the starting line, the 5K runners/walkers will turn left onto School Street, while the half marathoners will head straight into town. There will be volunteer traffic marshals present to help keep the flow of both races going in the proper direction. Double check the course maps and water stops.

     • Get a team together and participate in the Jay Hathaway Memorial Team Challenge presented by Paraco Gas. Information here.
     • We're planning special weekend discounts and activities. Area merchants and restaurants are looking forward to your visit. Bromley Mountain is offering promotions for their summer Fun Park and Stratton Mountain is having a promotion for a summit gondola ride for early fall foliage viewing.
